Fighting against the onslaught of the vacantly pretty faces that dominate Hong Kong's turgid Canto-pop scene, Reign's talent for epic, swirling compositions has often been compared to the likes of Chrissie Hynde, Patti Smith and The Pixies. Her star is on the rise, and the youth certainly seem to agree, with Reign's ubiquitous sound topping the online community, Myspace's indie artist chart in Hong Kong, an extremely high compliment from a notoriously cynical market.
